SecureHospitals.eu Workshop 2 from JOIN is focused on raising awareness for cybersecurity in people, who are working in the field of health care. Within the last 20 years, the way we work in care has changed dramatically. Especially in the administration and the handling of health records, new challenges raised. With these challenges, also new threats developed. In this workshop, participants will learn about identification of threats, understanding of potentials, appropriate reaction and how to communicate cybersecurity to the teams.


Format:

This workshop addresses healthcare managers and team managers. They will learn in Chap. 1.-3. how to identify, avoid and react to cybersecurity issues. Also part of the workshop is how to raise the awareness of teams and how to provide them proper tools and coping strategies to handle potential threats and issues. In Chap. 4. with a small tabletop exercise, the sensibility and understanding for cybersecurity shall be put into practice. In Chap. 5. the proper reporting and documentation of cyberattacks are discussed and why this is necessary. As there are individual documentation forms available in hospitals, the basic structure will be explained, that is required by the GDPR as a common minimum. Chap. 6. is dedicated as a train the trainer unit. Knowledge should be forwarded and made available in the local area of work. How this can be done is explained and trained.
